Would you travel to a new destination without a map? Market research provides the map, and with it, improved likeliness for success. Market research helps you to spend money wisely, where ROI is more likely. Don't waste your money on unproven sources that have not been measured for effectiveness … get a map, and get there before the competition.

To produce better than average results, MG Lomb needs to understand what is happening in your market today. To acquire this information (the map) we perform market research. Our research can be comprehensive, or simple. On a minimal level, we can perform what we call a Competitive Materials Analysis (CMA). Less costly than traditional research, a CMA is a concise analysis of your competition. It's a great tool for building the foundation to update your existing brand, or to create a new brand.

Based upon experience and results, we feel strongly that market research results in stronger, more effective marketing, advertising and brand programs. MG Lomb has performed many market research & CMA projects. Some projects are small, and others are large; the size of a project is typically dependent upon the need.

 Some important questions to consider:

  • What is your company's current market strategy, relating to cost:  high-end, value, or budget? Do your customers see you positioned as you intended?

  • What is your company's current size and reach: tier 1, tier 2, or tier 3? Do your customers see you positioned as you intended?

  • Who are your "ideal" customers? Do your ideal customers see you positioned as their best option?

  • How do you want your "ideal" customers to perceive your company, relating to cost and market positioning?

  • How effective are your key competitors' advertisements, sales kits (brochures & sell sheets) and websites?  Are your current materials better than theirs, or worse?

  • How do you personally perceive your company today? How do you want your company to be perceived in the next 1 – 5 years?

The driving idea behind implementing an improved marketing, advertising and brand program is to grow your business or achieve new goals. That's why you're doing this – to strengthen your position and to be more successful. To help you accomplish this goal, it is critical that MG Lomb knows the answers to the above questions. Armed with this information we will then have a "road map" by which to begin your new program.
