Logos.  Any graphic designer can make a logo. Companies that are serious understand their logo is the most important element representing them. A logo should succeed at representing who you are and what you do, at an appropriate level of sophistication. Done poorly, a logo will portray your company as amateurish. Cheap creative will cost you handsomely in the long run, so do it right.

How extensive should your logo project be? For a small start up, a basic logo may be all that’s required. But most established businesses need a bit more than that. A sophisticated logo project might actually require a logo “and” a corporate identity program, see Corporate Identity / Brand Development. Whatever your need, you should consider that your logo will consistently be used as part of your broader marketing program. It will adorn a great many tools, such as your business cards, website, stationary, advertisements, etc.  How your logo applies to these tools shouldn’t be an afterthought. So, simply putting a new logo on a white sheet of paper doesn't mean you’ve finished your logo product. MG Lomb has a considerable amount of experience with all of these scenarios – we can help you to reach the best result

Brand Styles Guide.  A styles guide is the document that explains how to use your company’s logo and/or brand correctly. Regardless if your logo is simple, or you have a comprehensive brand program, a “styles guide” should always be developed. Once your logo or brand program is complete, you will need this document to set-in-stone how your logo should be used. A styles guide makes clear all your color, font, and other critically important logo and/or brand usage rules. Supplied as a .PDF document, your styles guide can easily be provided both internally, and to vendors, to correctly and consistently represent your company’s brand and logo.

Outside Legal Services.  It is urgently important that a professional creative agency be assigned to development of a logo (legally referred to as your “mark”). Because of our experience, MG Lomb is able to help companies avoid damaging and costly legal problems associated with trademark (mark) infringement, and unauthorized mark usage. We thoroughly understand these issues and can guide your company through these hazardous waters by bringing to the table highly experienced lawyers who specialize in intellectual property (IP), trademark, and copyright law.
