Client: Eastman Kodak Company
The Need
Eastman Kodak Company uses a variety of interactive, web-based product videos on their website. They occasionally require support with Flash interactive multimedia development. MG Lomb supports Kodak when this occurs.
Challenge
Kodak represents nearly every consumer product that they sell on their website. In keeping with the times, Kodak has established a standardized style of informational product videos, with which they convey the features and benefits offered by their products. These web-based product marketing pieces are usually only 30 seconds long, and utilize some, or all, of the following: video, photos, text, voice, music, animation, etc. These interactive marketing and multimedia videos are a simple yet effective way to explain and sell Kodak’s products to their customers.
Included in the samples here are a variety of different web-based multimedia pieces, representing a variety of Kodak’s products.
Solution
Sometimes MG Lomb’s role in the development process is comprehensive, other times we perform only a specific part of the creative. In this instance, MG Lomb supported only the Flash development, working from storyboards that were provided by Kodak. In addition to the storyboards, Kodak also provided the video clips, and photographic assets that were to be used. MG Lomb, over a period of two months, produced approximately 60 of these interactive pieces.
For other similar projects, MG Lomb manages and develops all of the deliverables and all the assets, and manages the process completely.
Progress
Kodak was pleased with the work done by MG Lomb. But MG Lomb was only one participate, on a larger team that developed this work. The benefit and results that Kodak obtained from these deliverables is to their own credit. Still, MG Lomb is pleased to accept acknowledgment for the part of the process our team supported.
NOTE: MG Lomb is continuously impressed by the work and decisions made by Kodak, about marketing to their customers. We consider Kodak to be a benchmark for this type of interactive marketing and multimedia work.
